Clubs

Fethard Juvenile GAA Club hosting Aodh Ruadh CLG, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal

St. Rita’s Camogie Fethard hosting Camross, Co. Laois

 

Friday 17th June

  • 4-7pm – Clubs play two group matches as per Féile fixture list (hurling fixtures in Carrick-on-Suir; camogie in fixtures Ballylooby)
  • After games travel to Fethard
  • From 7pm onwards at Fethard Convent Community Hall:
    • Official welcome of visiting teams
    • Food & refreshments
    • Assignment of players to host families
    • Table Quiz involving players from all 4 teams

 

Saturday 18th June

  • Visiting players/mentors to have breakfast with their host family and to be brought to Fethard GAA Park
  • 30am – Final hurling group match Fethard v Aodh Ruadh CLG in Fethard GAA Park
  • 30am – Final camogie group match St. Rita’s Camogie Fethard v Camross in Fethard GAA Park
  • Lunch (packed lunches to have been provided to players by host families)
  • From approx. 1pm clubs depart for the venue for their respective Cup/Shield quarter-final
  • The next part of the day is dependent on the results of the Cup/Shield quarter-finals. If proceeding to semi-final, depart for the venue. If defeated in quarter-final, free time (suggestion is to travel to the semi-final involving your host or visiting team, if they also still in the competition)
  • From approx 7.30pm onwards at Fethard Convent Community Hall:
    • Barbeque & refreshments
    • Disco for players

 

Sunday 19th June

  • Visiting players/mentors to have breakfast with their host family and to be brought to Fethard
  • 30am – Convene in club outfits at Fethard Convent Community Hall and parade to Parish Church
  • 00am – Attend Mass[1]
  • 00 noon – Return to Fethard Convent Community Hall for departure of visiting teams (either to Finals or on their journey home)

Danagher Cup 2016

Fethard juvenile Gaa club are holding their annual Danagher Cup U8 football tournament on Sunday 12th in the Barrack field Fethard.
Originally The Danagher Cup was presented to the winners of a parish under-14 football league. The competition was changed in 2009 when the Fethard GAA club invited neighbouring clubs to compete for this wonderful cup at Under 8 level football.

This years tournament will be contested by 6 teams in total. Fethard Gaa club have entered 2 teams, Clonmel Commercials Gaa club, St. Pats Gaa club, Mullinahone Gaa club, & Moyle Rovers Gaa club, have all entered 1 team each.

Games will start at 10am sharp and your support for these future stars would be greatly appreciated.
