Danagher Cup
Fethard retain Danagher cup after a magnificent display of football last Sunday morning beating Clonmel Commercials in an extremely tense and closely fought final.
Fethard showed their strength in depth by entering 2 teams in this years competition. Other clubs represented on the day were St. Pats, Mullinahone, Moyle Rovers & Clonmel Commercials.
After the group stages only 4 teams were remaining in the competition. Moyle Rovers and Mullinahone contesting the B final, and for the 3rd year running, Fethard and Clonmel Commercials contesting the big one.
Both finals were closely fought battles but there can only be one winner, and on this occasion Moyle Rovers won the B final, Fethard winning the A final.
A big thank you to all clubs for coming with great support and great praise must be giving to all players for representing themselves & their clubs so well.
I would like to thank all the Fethard players and parents in particular. for their continued support & commitment. The progress that this group of players have shown so far this year, is very encouraging, and the future of Fethard football looks very promising.
Also a big thank you to all parents, club members & mentors who helped out in any way or form. You helped make this a most memorable day for all these young future stars and your efforts were really appreciated.
