Dear Club Member
Child Welfare & Protection in Sport Training
Tipperary Sports Partnership is facilitating further Child Welfare & Protection in Sport Basic Awareness training. The course is aimed at sports leaders, children’s officers, parents or anyone working with young people in sport. A central goal for all those involved in sport for young people is to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment where children can develop and enhance their physical and social skills. Promoting a child-centred environment should go hand in hand with identifying and eliminating practices that impact negatively on safe and enjoyable participation in sport for young people.
The November workshop will be delivered by Irish Sports Council tutors on:
November 18th in Templemore Arms Hotel from 6.30pm – 9.30pm
Prior registration with Tipperary Sports Partnership is necessary, please find attached the registration form. A nominal fee of €15 is required to secure your place. Please book early as places are limited on the workshop. A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded on completion of the course.
For registration or further information on a course near you, please contact TSP Clonmel office (052-6187080) or TSP Nenagh office (067-44888).

Juvenile AGM
That time of year again!
2015 was another great year for Fethard Juvenile GAA. I have had the pleasure of seeing the report for 2015 compiled by Ml Moroney who has undertook an arduous job of combining both posts of Chairperson and Secretary for a lot of this year. The report shows the high level of commitment given by all involved and more to the point the participation, joy and achievements of our children from 6 to 16.
OUR AGM is this Friday and every effort should be made by all to attend, all parents and interested bodies are very welcome to attend and thankfully there is no pressure to fill any club positions, so come along and see first hand how the club is building a strong future for Fethard Gaa and it’s community.

Fethard U10’s
Congratulations to the Fethard U’10 football team who won the Ned Meagher Cup last Saturday in Cloneen. It was a first win for this group, having been beaten in six finals over the last number of years. They had to do it the hard way though, overcoming Kilsheelan/ Kilcash in the first game, the first time they have been beaten this year, losing to Rosegreen to a last-minute goal and beating hosts St. Patrick’s in the third match. However, they saved the best for last, beating St. Patrick’s again by two points in a thrilling final. Great credit to all these young boys who fought so hard for each other to ensure this great victory.
Joint captains Joseph O’Flynn and Jack Quinlan received the cup on behalf of the team.
The full panel was:
Joseph O’Flynn, Jack Quinlan, Matt Coen, Charlie Hackett, James Barry, Alexi Laaksonen, Jake Coen, Mark Neville, Danny Hayes, Liam Kiely, Andrew Wall, Oisin Ryan, Andrew Connerton, Jack Davey, Charlie Walsh, Gavin Neville, Sami Laaksonen, Noah O’Flynn and Rory O’Mahony. Missing due to injury were David O’Donnell and Louis Ryan.
Well done to their mentors Paul Hayes, Sean Kiely, Paul Ryan and.John O’Flynn.

U21 Hurling
Last Saturday, October 19th, Anner Gaels played their first hurling game for 2015 in Cahir against Ballylooby/Clerihan. The game was a clean competitive game with some very encouraging aspects and a good team performance with Anner Gaels winning out in a game that we were always in control of. Well done and let’s hope a sign of good things to come.
